| Greetings loyal readers. As December dawns the holiday season is upon us, don't forget how much we all have to be thankful for. I do hope that you have started your shopping already. Those last minute lines at the mall, seriously cut into smut watching time.
This space was originally supposed to be used to finally tell you that Mike South has signed a deal with Sin City.
Well, that deal got blown off at the East Coast Video Show and Mike landed another contract on the same day. Mike will be taking his pro-am series to LBO where he joins feature director extraordinaire Greg Steel. The move should be a nice fit for Mike who has been with Xplor, Elegant Angel, Fallen Angel, Sin City and now LBO in the span of a year.
The loss of Mike comes at the same time Sin City is going through some other changes. Chuck Martino has been put in charge of productions for Sin City. Shortly after this move came the announcement that blonde, Texas cutie Shay Sweet is the newest contract girl to join the team. Shay has already graced a few Sin City boxes and now we can look forward to seeing even more of this darling young woman.
Speaking of darling young women and the contracts they sign, Monique has just been added to the Extreme Associates team. The beautiful black actress was lured away from Video Team and joins the likes of Tiffany Mynx, Ashlyn Gere, Jessica Darlin, Lizzy Borden, Chandler and of course, my newest fave girl, Stryc9.
I'm hard at work on an interview with Monique (as well as other Extreme girls.) so be watching for that. Is it me, or does Extreme now lead the pack in terms of the most contract girls in the biz?
One contract signing that isn't happening is the Victoria Paris to Extreme Associates. Apparently the HIV situation has scared Victoria off.
Thankfully, she did not take Ashlyn Gere with her and there is still hope that when things calm down, Ms. Paris may grace us with her presence once more.
Did anyone happen to catch the MTV special, "My Life as a Porn Star"? Aside from being Porn 101, for the very beginner, there were a few choice moments.
Mostly though it left me with a few questions. Was Missy drunk or stoned? Is Tyffany Million the most spiteful one time star porn has ever seen? (Bitter much Tyff?) Anyone else see the Rob Black/Marilyn Manson thing at work? Is Tabitha Soren the single most stupid woman on the planet? And finally, just who the Hell is Kid Sparkle and why do we care?
I had the pleasure of being on the set of Jane Waters' 'The Pornographer' this month. (See full on set report for all the dirt.) Jasmin St. Clair, in her first Extreme Associates feature, paired up with Tom Byron for an amazing anal scene that looks to be part of one hell of a movie. Waters, St. Clair and Byron were incredibly gracious on the set, as was Extreme director Van Damage, on hand to help out.
There seems to be a growing trend in porn these days for performers to change their names. First it was Cherry, switching to Stryc9. Then Mike Long became Luciano. Now Wildcat, the super cute, girl next door gone wonderfully bad, is going by the name Cheyenne Silver.
It's hard enough to keep track of the revolving door talent pool as it is, now we have this to deal with. Given the confusion between Wildcat and another new performer, perhaps she should have chosen, "I am not Temptress" as her new name.
Though it's been finished for over a year, 'Orgazmo', the porn/action send up from 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone is finally in theaters. Don't expect the NC-17 smut comedy in your local mall Cineplex though. It took a lot of cutting just to earn the non X rating. The film does have a number of cameos from recognizable faces like Chasey Lain, Dave Cummings and Juli Ashton.
After a three month wait, Greg Steel's first gonzo effort will finally hit store shelves this month. The video stars Julie Rage, Sindee Coxx and Asia Carerra, all in their final performances. (Though I hear Asia is already planning another comeback.) The ads are just showing up in AVN, with some glowing quotes from some guy who does internet video reviews.
His name escapes me at the moment. Now, if Steel will just get his priorities straight, put down the corporate pen for a while and direct 'Video Junction', we can all be happy.
