Starring: Though Amber Lynn is billed as the star, the movie belongs to the vastly unappreciated Honey Wilder, who plays Amber's divorced mom. Without a man, and enticed by Amber's aggressive sexuality, Wilder finds herself being swept away by much younger guy: Amber's boyfriend Tom Byron.
Everything rings true, from the motel rooms to the disco. A real movie-movie built on character, smoldering realtionships, and the games we play with one another when we refuse to face reality.
Blistering. While Amber provides the raw carnality, Wilder is the romantic who longs for the youth she lost marrying too soon. They make terrific counterweights for an intensely human story.
The Wilder/Byron relationship. When the spoiled Amber gets tired of waiting for the hard-working Byron to finish another long shift, mom nervously accepts Byron's invitation for a night out. You can guess what follows. Wilder is superb struggling to fit in, and scorching when she finally cuts loose.
Not much. Even the ending has a sexy twist when Amber runs into the arms of her own older man. I won't say who.
A solid 9 for everyone who loves a touch of humanity with their porn.
