Starring: The original is a classic about pent-up sexual frustrations, hypocrisy, and voyeurism. This nimble follow-up, which brings back Jamie Gillis and Paul Thomas, packs its own heat with a new plot device and some blistering boning by Heather Wayne, that firecracker, Joanna Storm, and underrated Tish Ambrose. And what can you say about the talents of Veronica Hart?
Robert McCallum does his usual masterful job giving his characters depth and seething sexuality. That he's working with a solid storyline makes it all dovetail nicely. This is one sequel that measures up.
In McCallum's films, the eroticism blooms from his character's secrets and lies. This is no exception. In this sequel, the moralistic Edgar Church has died, but his will has not been served because one of Church's relatives, cute Heather Wayne, cannot be located. The team of Gillis, Thomas, and John Leslie are put on her trail. They end up in a whorehouse.
There's so much to admire beyond the often raw sexual exchanges (everyone performs like a champ). Hart, as the high class mistress of the call girl ring, is especially exquisite. And Wayne is so fetching, Gillis ends up in love again.
Not much. It works on every level.
